Adopters are carefully screened and commit to care for the balance of his life or they must return it to SON Rise Ranch.Funds for the rescue come from donations, adoptions, grants and fundraising events. Our need for funding assistance is acute, as rescuing a single healthy horse can easily exceed $700.00. An unhealthy horse can require up to $350.00 per month for medications and veterinary care.
We are dedicated to improving the lives of the magnificent horses we rescue, as well as the families who adopt them. The exhaustive labor of our small group and ever expanding circle of volunteers is well rewarded by the knowledge that these horses are safe.
How you Can Help?
Without your help, there is no way SON Rise Rescue Ranch could continue to exist. Beyond the cost associated with rehabilitating a horse, there are also countless hours of work that needs done on a daily basis. Below are several ways that you can help out our 4 legged Huffed friends.
Make a Donation to SON Rise Ranch Rescue
Our success is determined by your generosity. Each bag of feed or bale of hay that we don’t have to purchase is money that can help in other areas. Your donation will help us to help maintain all of the daily costs associated in the care and upkeep of all of the Rescue Horses. We spend considerable amount on food, farrier & Vet bills per month, so every little bit counts. Please understand no one at SON Rise Ranch Rescue receives any type of compensation, so your donation goes DIRECTLY to care for the horses. SON Rise Ranch Rescue is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit that relies greatly on donations from individuals and businesses to cover costs of rehabilitating rescued horses. If you are interested in making a donation, please click the link below. Remember all donations are tax deductible and a donation form can be provided upon request.

Status: Aundreah’s Fight Therapeutic
My name is Ember and I was rescued along with Blu, Ashton and Chestnut from a another rescue ranch who had just rescued us when my new owners came along and wanted me for Aundreah a young girl who was diagnosed with Leukemia 2 weeks prior to leaving for college, I will be a therapeutic horse for her and she will be the one who help me regain my light, that’s why she named me Ember like a flame. I just had a foal but nobody knew it and as a result to the neglect I suffer an Uterine infection. The best way to cure it is to remove my uterus; the other option is a uterine Flush. Both procedures are close to $2000, but with flush the infection is likely to reoccur. We were all starved and suffered from malnutrition. When I arrived at SON Rise Ranch Rescue, I was covered in evidence of just delivering a foal, I was so weak I could barely walk. I have excellent ground manners, and I have a very sweet temperament and would make a great therapeutic horse.
Would you please consider sponsoring her? 100% of your tax-deductible donation will go directly to helping with Embers Surgery and
provide feed, hay, wormer, farrier, and supplements for Ember for the time frame you choose.
